Associate Hardship Fund.
The RK Associate Hardship Program is managed by Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Explore everything you need to know about the fund’s purpose, eligibility, and grant opportunities.
Purpose
The purpose of this charitable program is to support Rural King associates facing economic hardships. It provides assistance for those unable to afford basic living needs such as housing and utilities due to qualified circumstances.
Eligibility
All RK Administrative Services, LLC associates currently employed part-time or full-time for at least 60 days prior to applying are eligible to seek assistance. Assistance can only be approved once within a twelve-month period.
Grant
Grant amounts are based on the incident and expenses, helping associates through crises, not resolving all financial issues. Payments go directly to vendors for essential needs like housing and utilities, not to associates.
Qualifying Incidents.
We understand that life can sometimes present unexpected challenges on your path to success. Explore the qualifying circumstances and events that may make you eligible for the Associate Hardship Fund.
Natural Disasters
This includes events such as wildfires, floods, tornadoes, severe storms, or earthquakes that damage or destroy an associate's primary residence or force evacuation.
Extreme Illness/Injury
For the associate, their spouse or domestic partner, and eligible dependents who experience medical incidents requiring hospitalization or extended time off work.
Death
This includes the death of the associate, spouse, domestic partner, or eligible dependent(s), when loss of income, funeral costs, or medical bills make it hard to afford basic living expenses.
Extreme Circumstances
This includes, but is not limited to, fire, major home damage, serious crime (robbery, assault, abuse), or any incident beyond the associate's control that impacts their ability to afford basic needs.
