Beyond The Classroom.
Unlike traditional high school classes, ClassE takes students out of the classroom and into the business world.
Selected through a competitive application process, students participate in local business tours, meet with area entrepreneurs, and collaborate on launching their own ventures—all while earning dual credit.

Notable Activities.
Throughout the year, ClassE students engage in four cornerstone activities that bring the entrepreneurial experience to life. Each one is designed to build confidence, strengthen real-world skills, and foster deeper connections to the local business community.

Golf Outing
Students plan and execute this annual fundraiser as a real business, learning hands-on skills in sales, marketing, and event planning. From securing sponsorships to promoting the event, the outing helps fund student start-ups while offering valuable entrepreneurial experience.
EIU Business Pitch Competition
ClassE students pitch product ideas for Rural King stores nationwide, gaining experience in research, demographics, distribution, and sales. With guidance from local experts and a visit to Rural King’s Distribution Center, students prepare and present full business plans in a real-world retail setting.
